What is Teach?
We at ACM BPDC believe in the transformative power of computer science for communities and schools. Our initiative, "Teach," brings computer science education directly to communities, empowering them to thrive in the digital age. Join us on this journey to create a brighter, more inclusive future together.
Programming Workshop, Dubai International Academy
ACM BPDC, through its social initiative, Teach, conducted Computer Programing workshops and fun activities for school students on 12th October 2022. Our team members ( Anmol, Vignesh, Avani, Anurag, Sstuti ) went to Dubai international Academy to introduce and spread Computational thinking among grade 6 students. This helped the school students to nurture problem-solving skills, logic, and creativity in a fun way. Fun games to put forth the concepts of encryption, decryption and networking were conducted that raised the students' curiosity in the field, giving them a glimpse of the tech world.
Hour of Code, Dubai International Academy
If you've heard about the Hour of Code before, you might know it made history - more than 100 million students around the world have tried an Hour of Code. The students created their own apps or games which they showed their parents, and also received Hour of Code e-certificates and ACM goodies (stickers, pens, and bags) they could take home. And, it was fun! With interactive, hands-on activities, students learnt computational thinking skills in an approachable way.
